It was today, not yesterday, but I set up my new "office" at the house. I now have a place to get on the inter web and paint without the kids getting into everything. And I get to pull out some of my stuff and hang it on the walls.

Yesterday I had an electrician tell me that I was screwed when I bought my house because the PO's never up-graded any of the service to the house, & when they had someone supposedly change the main wire coming in, all they did was changeed the wire from the meter to the roof. What they did from the meter to the inside was covered the old wire with covering from new wire & made it look like they changed it! Found out that the person that did the word cut corners all over the place & now I am responsible for it! (We'll see what my lawyer has to say about that though...) Then he tells me I need at least 6G's & a few days of NO POWER to get my 200 Amp service put in. That way I'll be able to get 240 out to the garage... As it is I can't use the new compressor I bought... SUCKS ASS! Although I did find out I can use my generator to run the 240 off of for the compressor. Then I finished un-bolting all the shit from the motor & tranny in the S-10. Went & rented/picked up the cherry picker... Then I looked at every parts store looking for a plug for the back of my tranny so it wouldn't leak all over the place while pulling it out & storing it. Couldn't find one place that had them, 2 of the places didn't even know what I was talking about .

Today I pulled the motor, called the guy to come pick up the truck so I can get my Ghias home & start

why not just use the yoke from the driveshaft, i know its a bit more work to take it off, but thats what i have done,

another idea i have used is a rattle can lid, or a plastic lid from something close in size, use a hose clamp to hold it on, or use duct tape and tape the hell out of it,
it works in a pinch

oh yeah,

what i did yesterday,

nadda damn thing

LOL! Nadda Damn thing huh?

I couldn't use the yoke because the guy buying the S-10 wanted the driveshaft with the truck... I had already though of that. I also thought about the Rag & duct tape too, or some otherthing & duct tape, but, I wanted to get the thing out cuz I had a buddy for a few hours to help & wanted to make sure we got it out before he had to leave... There wasn't a problem at all! I ended up drainging the tranny & it STILL LEAKED ON MY NEW DRIVEWAY!!! What sucks is I forgot to grab some "Pig Mat" (That shit works AWESOME!!) from work before I left Friday, figuring I was working Saturday & would just take it then... Well I woke up Saturday & said "I don't want to go into work today, I think I'll work around here!" So I did... & I never made it backl to work before all teh guys left for the day. I ended up using Kitty Litter on the driveway & scuffed it in with my boots. Then I covered it up with my truck so my little lady didn't see it... Gotta wait for the guy to pick up the truck, then I can wash it off...

"STILL LEAKED ON MY NEW DRIVEWAY!!!"

Get used to it. If you're gonna strip out two Ghias and build up Shorty with a custom chassis, it's only going to get worse.

Then, of course there's ME! I leave stains where ever I go . . .

Yesterday I got the rear tires for my trike mounted and balanced, installed the enclosure for the circuit-breaker panel, ran all the wires to it, and fabbed the bracket to hold the flasher relay. Anyone in New England need a pair of wide-fives with the four-lug adapters? The tires are in lousy shape, but the wheels and adapters are fine - I just don't need them.

I worked on the climbing wall that I'm building for my daughter. Last fall I posted pics of me tearing down her play house (at her request) and the start of the wall. Well, I thought about the design over the winter and changed it up a bit. It should be a little safer now. I'll try to get pics in the next couple days as I have a busy week.

I finally got my radio hooked up and working. I put the antenna on. It was a little scarry drilling 2 holes in a freshly painted car. I taped and measured about 4 times before I drilled. I have always liked the 2 post antennas. What do you think?

Bought this home yesterday...

Hadda give up my bike, so I needed another ride back and forth to work.

$500.00, runs good, new tranny, new clutch, and rock solid.
Only real downfall is of course the paint job. Not very manly! lol.

Gonna re-paint her mettalic dark red.
