Like I stated before, I photoshop more for real life concepts then realism (fancy paint changes, etc), that being said.... I was wondering what a Ghia would be if it was more like an MGBGT hatchback.

Wheelbase shortened, ended up looking more like a Zagato

Jetster,

You've never done a proper intro. How old are you? If you can find enjoyment just playing around with these programs, you have some serious potential as a designer. It doesn't come easily for everyone, and with a self taught interest like yours, you should embrace it. Not everyone can draw or build what they concieve. I can honestly say that I have been impressed with your rapid development in PS, and you are actually better at it than I am. I don't know your story, but at least consider design as an option for yourself. You get to build lots of cool shit that you come up with. The only thing I would say is don't set your sights on automotive design unless you are really serious about it.

I know Jeff (shutupanddrive) is doing a chevant (the kind of clay we use) model as his grad project, and I have mad respect for that, but it is THE most lucrative place in the design field, and you really have to shine to work for any of the major firms.

So jetster, what's your real name, what do you look like, what do you intend to do with yourself? Cough it up.

I think you have some potential kiddo, not because you can use the basics of PS, but because you are creative and seem to pick up programs quickly. I bet you could be rocking some 3DstudioMax in no time. (If you want it, I'll send you a copy thanks to Ian)

I like to bust your chops because that's how I am, but I also am here to help you out. if you want to talk about it further, hit me up on PM.

Chuck

Man, thats like my 5th model I've built. Most of them have been clay, but I've done some interior models out of the yellow foam. thats good stuff. I'm also making a 3D Alias model of my Iso project on the computer. I love what I do. I just sit around and sketch, do renderings, canson renderings, photoshops, Alias and Rhino models, or build models, do mill and lathe work. I also get to work with all kinds of cool composite materials and and do some paint work (like in my aviator).

I love what I do. There's so much I can do with the degree I'll have and I know so many people in different parts of the auto industry that I'm pretty much set. I'm sure it won't be an easy start, but I wouldn't rather be doing anything else.

Oh, and chevant clay fucking smells horrible, and it's getting expensive too! I bet I've got a hundred bucks in clay on my model right now. Now I've got to go buy the Duratek primer and paint for it. It can get expensive.
