Here's my brood, all three are rescue puppies. Lady (big blk/wht), Iggy (red) and Isis, the little one who is on our dog sled team; go figure Adopted Isis after I had to have Ojo our first male that I had put down, the absolute hardest day of my life! I cried like a baby. But we rescued her and one thing led to another and over the last four years a bunch have passed through our doors and Lady and Iggy stayed. Gald I don't have room for more or . Love them all but still can't replace the first one. he was and is still my favorite.

Re: The PET THREAD...
Our 'oldest' kid and our only 'daughter'. The red/white Ol fella is Siegfried von Siegfried aka "Siegie"...he's husky/G.Shep/Gold.Ret....pushing 12years old. He's my wife's rescue puppy(mutt)...super mellow old fellow. The Sable German Shepherd is Umber vom Younghaus aka "Lala"... she's a pure breed from East German bloodlines...ya! She's 2 1/2 years. My 8 and 3 yr. old sons LOVE these 2 and vise versa....kids have crawled and mauled'em and they (dogs & kids) love it.
I grew up with...or as my folks say "I was raised by" German Shepherds.....wouldn't have any other breed!
NOTE: photo credits go to my 8 yr. old son, Nico...(he's getting better at the camera thingy)

Re: The PET THREAD...
This is our Norwegian Forrest Cat named Chatty. She is quite the talker and we can have complete conversations with her. Thus the name. She wakes us up every damn morning with all her squawking. Like an alarm, this morning at 0445.

Re: The PET THREAD...
Went to my brother and sister in laws and met their two new additions to their family. They have now added 2 great danes to their family. This is Perry sitting on my wife and daughter. He's not even a year old.

Our neighbor has one and she does the obediance thing with him. I just want to give him a scratch but she says she wants to train him to walk down the street and not look at anybody.... It's a dog, they look at everything!
