hi all, parked my car up about 3 months ago running really smooth. Srarted it today and popping and farting only running on 3 cylinders. Within a couple of hundred miles its had bee plugs and leads. A i can think is the fuel might be about 6 months old. What's your thoughts
We have Ethanol fuel out here in California. I’ve learned that just a few weeks of sitting can cause carburetor problems. I’ve had good luck using Lucas and Stabil fuel additive. Plus starting up my bikes and truck once a week seems to help. A clear inline fuel filter also helps me keep an eye on things.

Think that probably answered my question. We had a couple of months of hot weather here in the UK and my car sits in a garage that get very hot inside so probably didn't help with fuel longevity and that was a couple of months back.
Folks, ethanol does not go bad. Gas goes bad. It loses octane as it sits
Ethanolnis stable over time, but can gel in cold weather. E85 has sat at my place for months. The 15% gasoline is what is thenissue.
Having said that, gasiline that is old can foulnplugs due to the loss of octane.
