Loading pictures off the camera I found some old ones

they don't stay that small and cute forever, but they still try (yet they do still stick random things they find in their mouths )

It has a lot to do with how you raise them. It is an animal, so you have to keep that in mind, but if you treat them well, 99% of the time they'll be fine. Those two look like they need belly rubs!!!

both are realy nice dogs. the pitt, i call her that, its actualy a english stafford/something cross, got her out of a shelter. couldnt resist leaving her there when our other bull terrier died, is actualy sleeping like that. she can lay on her back for hour or so sleeping and snoring. i always had bull terriers and i love them. crazy little lazy doggies.

Does anyone know how to cure separation anxiety? We have had Shelby for almost 2 weeks now and shes fine when we are home but if we leave she decides its ok to shit and piss in the dining room, no where else. I tried a kennel the other day because people said they will not go to the bathroom where they sleep but she decided to then proceeded to roll around in it so I had to take her out and scrub her down. I am out of ideas and its driving me crazy because I dont want to have a house that smells. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How old is she? Just a pup or is she an older adopted with a previous bad history with another home?

Pups usually are destructive when they don't have anything to keep them occupied when you're gone (i.e. they get bored).

If that's the case, have many toys available that keep her busy (hollowed out bones with peanut butter stuffed way down in the middle, etc).

Come up with a cue she'll distinquish from all others (a word or gesture) and start with giving her that cue (i.e. *hand up* "Be right back!") and then leaving the room she's in for very short periods of time. After a few moments of her being good and not freaking out, then come back in the room without really acknowledging her at first, then after a couple minutes pet her and spend time with her. Lengthen these times bit by bit. The key is to teach her that you WILL be back. Getting her to understand your "cue" is important. It takes work and a lot of time, but needs to be done.

Leaving some of your dirty clothes out of the hamper with her sometime helps too.

Just remember... they learn much quicker from praise when they do GOOD, than they do from punishment when they screw up (espcecially something they did 3 hours before you got home).
