Picked up a GPS speedometer the other day. When I built the car I didn't plan on using a GM speedometer. I've just been using a GPS speedometer on my phone. It worked fine, but I didn't like the look of have a phone mounted on my windshield all the time. I removed the OE parts from the VW speedometer and cut some sheet metal to replace the class. This way I could mount the 3 3/8" speedo in it.

Last night I got the bezel painted up and the speedo mounted. Dash has come together nicely!

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how things are coming together now. Nothing new in this post. Just got Frankie out for some sun yesterday and some fresh oil. The engine cleanup look s so good out in the sunlight!

Took Frankie out for her first cruise of the season last night. After some rebuilding of the carb and tuning this past week, she's running beautifully! Now I just need to work on getting the rest of her painted...haha

My buddy was out cruising with me in his Blazer that we finished building last year. All winter we were giving each other a hard time about whose is faster. Well after the rebuild and tuning, I'm pulling away from him this year...haha he was a little disappointed last night...haha

So your buddy’s ride is second fastest, while yours is next to last?🤔😝😷

I have to agree, with the big and little tires plus the stance, the Blazer is way cool. The decal in the rear window doesn’t hurt either.

The blazer is on air ride. The front will put the frame on the ground, but we didn't get into notching the frame on the back yet so it won't sit as low. I'm sure he'll wanna be doing that soon...haha I agree though, I love the over all look of that truck.

Repainted my flying eyeball to match the colours of the car better. The green I had it painted before just wasn't working out. Looking much better!

Now I just need to get the rest of the car painted...lol

Thanks Ron. Way easier to paint the res of the car black. Trying to match the pearlescent white that's on there would be a nightmare.
