Photobucket replacement
Hey gang,
Since photobucket is giving us the shove out the door, you might want to try this place for picture sharing. I just started using it. A little different but free.

Re: Photobucket replacement
I noticed today my flaming Dragon below is now blocked. I'm still free storage, but now I can't share any links to them for messing up everything
Some day I'll just post the link from the address bar to my intro page. Unless they have a way that's blocked too~
test~

Re: Photobucket replacement
Photobucket sealed their death by wanting to charge people to host their picture there and use it on a forum.

They suddenly, without warning, put a charge on everyone who has pics there and locked accts out until they pay. I have a small acct, and my pics WERE still showing here. Now they are gone too. I have a free acct since it's well under the 2GB, but I got a pop up saying I can't link anymore, no more '3rd party sharing'. My husband looked at work, he can still see my pics not logged in.
They just killed themselves. What's the use of storing pics if ya can't share them now
There's other places. But years and years and years worth of builds are now just articles with out pics.

Re: Photobucket replacement
That really sucks, they could have given a few months notice, but that wouldn't have mattered, $299 is way more than I can afford, I bet they don't last long before they lower the cost, but then again what do I know
I do have all my pics saved on my computer, just not in albums like in photobucket, it would take months to go back and add all the pics to everything, then I would hafta guess which pic was where, it's just fucked up
Thank ya Jeff for the other pic hosting site, I also Google and found a few, I just haven't tried any of them yet
Ron

If you have an acct there, you can see your pics logged in. But not anyone else's pics there unless they have a paid acct. Hubby looked at work the other day and he got a page saying acct does not support 3rd party linking. I can't see anyone else's pics either while logged in.
It's all blocked unless it's a paid acct.

Re: Photobucket replacement
Hey guys. Figured out how to screw PB back over. You can get your images working real easy. And for some reason half of mine started working. Here is a partial link (so that it does not actually display).
i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b607/CBMmotorsports/20170418_203936_zpssdeayokv.jpg[/IMG]
K so you have your link like above. All you do is a ~original to the end. Looks like this.
i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b607/CBMmotorsports/20170418_203936_zpssdeayokv.jpg~original[/IMG]
And when you do it, it turns out working like this....

Re: Photobucket replacement
Just note, this will most likely be a temorary fix until they catch on. On a plus note, if you find a thread you need with messed up pictures, you can copy the pictures address link, add in the ~original, copy the address into your browser, and see the picture.

Re: Photobucket replacement
Just came across this too.
http://support.photobucket.com/hc/en...Albums-Setting
I changed mine, BUT, all my pics here are now just blank pics, no links available, (ex: there was a flaming dragon in my signature, I can't even see a link when I edit.
But this works, for those of us with the small supposedly free acct. My flaming dragon however, has been removed in my acct, I got the same pic as below where I can see it in my thumbnails.
What ever.
If anyone wants to see my pics, I'll go dig them up~ Or I sit here on some miserable outdoor day and fix at least the intro, IF it still works by then.

Re: Photobucket replacement
I'm in the process of downloading all my pics from photobucket to a flash drive but for some reason it won't let me download an entire album so I'm having to click on each pic and download one at a time...gonna take a while.

I changed some things from the original link below.

That's messed up, I added spaces and the stupid thing worked?
There, stars broke it.

Well, I don't know. Still have to change the link to make it show. But I guess it's good that accts are back to being visible, first noticed when I hit Charlie's link . Even if we can't share direct yet
