First Volksrod

I've posted here and there over the years but this is my first Volksrod project. Found it on Craigslist. A 63 convertible body on a 68 pan. 5 lug drums, and an unusual "Heb kit" installed. Home grown 7.5" extension and adjusters. Radius rods for look and possibly function to support the stretch. It's more or less solid, but with a few more wtf items than I'd like. Oh well, on to the pics.

Wow, really has been a while since I got the car. Well, it runs now, and is sorta driveable. So far, I've replaced the extender, front end, all brakes, wheels and tires, and all the electrical. New alternator, 36hp fan shroud, lights, and in sure a lot of other stuff. I left the trailer park in it for the first time the other day. Yesterday I took it to the gas station. Today I took it to the grocery store and to the local once a month car show. I parked it away from the show, and it was so awesome to see 5-6 people gathered around it at the show. I talked to a couple guys about it. One was an old VW guy who'd never heard of Volksrods.
