Default intro

whats up everyone, my name is zach and im new to the whole ratrod and what not...actually new to the whole completely take a part a car thing. ive done a lot of work on my scion tc but nothing like what i plan on doing to my newly purchased 1972 vw beetle. as far as i know it does not run, needs new floor pans, lots of body work, and i plan on putting air ride on it if the cost is not to much. tried to get some pics so everyone can see where im starting...enjoy. and so far this place looks like a massive wealth of knowledge im pretty excited to start.

finally found a way to resize super easy. if anyone curious...this is what i did. since i upload all of my photos to my facebook project album i then save the images from the album to a new folder on my desktop because facebook basically resizes the images for me. little tip for any one whos interested... Today I drilled holes along my new floor pans and dropped the body back onto the chassis so i can get a perfect match with the holes lining up...driver side was perfect, passenger little off by 1/4th but still lined up kinda so welded anyways.

here are the pictures from months ago to hours ago today.enjoy

more pics to come but main question:
i want air ride bad...
the back is easy to bag..
the front seems like no one has done though. i have seen it done with air cylinder which will work but i want bags and i don't wanna pay for air struts. so does any one know if a bag will fit in the front or would there be an exessive ammount of body cutting and fab work?

hey question to everyone need some help. i am looking to air ride my super. i know i can use air cylinders, but can i use boc's(bag over coil)? they are made for McPherson suspension so i dont see why not. please give me some feed back on this cause the bags are a little expensive. i need to know 1) if it will work and 2) with it will i be able to sit on the ground. i don't care about fast ups and downs either.

Just remembered I created a post on here when I first began my VW journey. It may have taken me a while but she’s finally on the road. Say hello to Blue Berry.
