Re:: overdue intro

Well, after lurking around as a silent member for the past 8-1/2 years, I guess I'll do an introduction so I can be allowed to post. I grew up in Amarillo, TX. My 2nd car was a 1974 Standard Beetle that I bought from the original owner in 1992. Several others have come and gone; however, this one has always remained.

My first fulltime job was turning wrenches in a foreign car shop. Myself, my boss, and most of our friends were all into VW's. I turned wrenches for the last 22 years on all kinds of stuff, and recently switched over to being an electrician.

I live in Ada, OK with my wife and daughter. Currently I have my '74 STD, a '66 bug on a '72 pan, the back half of the '72 on the '66 pan (had to take PO's junk when I bought the '66, and an '03 F-250.

I plan on getting the '74 running again after I finish changing/updating several things on my truck.
