Re: S#!T Stain on a Monet
Here is a reversal picture. This is actually a "Monet on a Shit Stain". It's a pic of my cat "Gabrielle Monet" (yes, her real name) on my project pile

Re: S#!T Stain on a Monet
exactly......its a nice car in a shitty background............go back and read what he said. either a flat black "not so pretty" car, in a nice landscape view or whatever, OR a nice car, fresh paint, pretty car in a shitty area.
rental car? no. stock? yes.
what this thread is.......
opposites~~~, shiny car, dumpy background,
unfinished , classical background.
ya know, out of place.......opposites
it may not be a v-rod, but it follows the rules of the thread, minus the v-rod part, but others have posted non v-rod cars as well with no complaints so i dont see why ur so upset lol.

yet all your v-rods, are 4's.......lol.
when a car is given to you for making good grades all the way through school from elementry to highshool graduation.....the least i could care about is 2 cylinders.
not to mention they have these things running 10's a year and a half after release.

" The backdrop is what will make the photo and should be the primary focal point and your VolksRod is only there to bring down the property value. By placing the two contrasting elements together the goal is to add a whole new perspective to the picture.
Now this isn't limited to rat rods, if your Volksrod has a nice finish (capecodster, Gkafer, Swoodard, etc...) then just find a contrasting background (burned out forrest, collapsed building, etc...). In other words, something that your car would improve the property value"
Yes, there are other cars but they ARE VW's. I also stated that the car NOT be the main focal point of the picture (as some have done). The last 2 pics that I posted, are taken slightly out of context. The first is a pic of my cat (Gabrielle MONET) on the shit pile (V-rod included). The other pic from the show yesterday was a play on words and was titled "A shit stain and a Monet".
Now, Should I go back and restate that the cars pictured should be Volksrods? No, because t's already stated and the picture that started this whole thread was in fact a Volksrod and the examples I gave for the "nice finish" cars were also Volksrods.
Now when someone made a comment about your car you said "it may not be a v-rod, but it follows the rules of the thread, minus the v-rod part".
You just admitted that you read the rules but decided to eliminate one key fact so it would fit your purpose.
Now don't get discouraged by what I just wrote. I love the new Mustangs and you did take nice pics. The problem is, it's a mustang and it's the main focal point of the pic. Also, I did in fact say something about other pics of this nature and I'll say it again. If you had pulled back and taken the pic from across the street, so that the mustang was a small "polished stain" on a larger background it would have been more exceptable even though it's a Mustang .
This is my rant and I stand by it. This is a thread to share your V-rods, good or bad. All of the pics on this thread are great pics and I hope none are deleated. But in the future, Let's keep them limited to air cooled VW's.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: S#!T Stain on a Monet
hey grant i have no problem with your mustang and hurrah for your grades. i was offered the same deal in high school but i lacked the ability to go through with it.
as for what got "in my panties", in my reply i wasnt rude at all. thats just your perception. i even said please and refered you to another spot for your pictures as they dont look like shit stains. they look like up close pics of a new car.

Re: S#!T Stain on a Monet
Nice pics Hebster!!
During the torential down pour yesterday we had a slight break in the weather. The sun poked through the clouds and LIT up the tree in the back yard. I wish I had used my digit5al camera instead of my cell phone but within seconds the sun was gone and the rain started again.
