I've been stuck on Pantera, Metallica, GnR and CCR lately but I'm about ready to change out my CDs in the truck. I was on a Violent Femmes kick until my disc screwed up. Up next?? I dunno, maybe some George Thorogood, Ozzy, Mazzy Star, & some Beatles?? I might even throw in a version of Lil red Rooster, either Muddy Waters or Big mama Thornton, or John Lee Hooker.

I've got my 13 y/o son listening to all of the above, plus AC/DC, Frampton, Nugent, Queensryche, Johnny Cash, War, etc.

Right now I am listening to Punk45, sometimes its Dr. Yo on ITunes.

In the car its alot of different things. I will listen to anything from Primus, Iggy Pop, X, Skynard, Ramones, Devo, Butthole Surfers, BauHaus, Captian Beefheart, Residents, Cramps, Los StraitJackets, Red Elvis's........ I prefer to have Compilations as it can change alot. I also listen to Soundtracks, Rock Opera's as well as real opera. My favorite movie/ album of all time has got to be Tommy. Crosby Still Nash and Young are alway a good thing to listen too as well.

I like alot BlueGrass and Hank lately as well as some 60's acid rock.

Theres alot more, the only things i don't like are like R&B, Rap, Reggae or anything thats repetetive as hell. I like music that changes alot, much the same way Classical does.

Right now I have Pearl Jam in the truck, I have The Clash playing on the computer, and just about everything "modern rock" and "punk" on my Ipod.

Hey Bugdust, it's good to see someone else who's into Mazzy Star.

I cant really stand punk, but I guess I see what people see in it, just don't care for it. I like the old motown stuff, newer heavy screamin stuff, and some johnny cash.

Charlie, I got A good Violent Femmes cd I can copy for you.

What little of Mazzy Star I have heard I liked too.

My 3 yr. old Daughter knows songs from Ween, Devo, Skynard and just today I had going Hey, Ho, Let's Go... to BlitzKrieg Bop.

One thing I am having a hard time finding is Surf Guitar, I love it but it seems all I can find are the usual Dick Dale, Los StraitJackets....
Anyone got any good suggestions ?

Yeah, I really got into Mazzy Star back in 95-96?? when my wife and I split up It was great, really went with my mood, especially when half-baked all the time.

Hi-jack: I still haven't gotten into the Ipod thing but my wife wants one. I told her I'd go get her one tomorrow. Anything I should know about them?

Jon, that's okay. You can download pretty much anything these days. I'll just get the songs I like. Thanks though.

Seriously? I have 2000 Professional. I was thinking the 1gb, hadn't considered the one with the screen. Obviously, I need to research this a little bit.

Well, tonight I went with Custom, Dirty Vegas, Dope, Breaking Benjamin, and Dire Straits.

Lately to and from work I've been listening to Stone Sour's first album.

The rest depends on my mood.

Works has been sucking more than usual lately, so I've been listening to hard and heavy stuff...Or comedian Stephen Lynch.

Right now I'm listening to Clutch, Robot Hive/Exodus.

I have found that lately I like listening to the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, various blues, and other '50's,'60's music while I'm working on my car. seems to get me into the kustom mindset that I need to get my creative side out. seems to help me anyway.

I used to have a 4th gen 20GB iPod, but I sold it when the Video ones came out. I use it as the video source in my truck. I have a Kenwood 7" screen in there. I have abour 2800 songs, 5 full length movies and some porn on it and it's only about half full. It's the 30GB. Totally love it. It goes everywhere with me.

Well, I have been on a Clutch kick lately too (Jay), but lessee this week I have been playing a bunch of James Brown, Clutch, In Flames, 60's ska/rocksteady, some breakbeat techno, Hendrix/Band of Gypsys, Dead Kennedys, 36 Crazyfists, Killswitch Engage, Johnny Cash, Kraftwerk, The Roots, Jimmy Smith, Jawbox, Superchunk, Quadrajets, Teengenerate, Man or Astro-man?, Horse the Band, The Sultans, Hot Snakes, and some German rap. That's what I remember off the top of my head.

Lots of eclectic stuff - a series of albums called 'Born Bad' that are basically a early to late 60's garage rock, lounge, roots and rockabilly. Also listen to a lot of Rocket from the Crypt, Ramones, Lazy Ike and the Daredevils, Brian Setzer/Stray Cats, Lee Rocker, Misfits, Chris Isaak, bluegrass stuff, a couple funky old honky tonk and roots country Itunes streams.
I have a 1gb shuffle that I just load up randomly, I plug it into my PC speakers at work when I get tired of what is loaded on the work machine.

Depends on my mood but heres a typical rundown, Social Distortion , Circle Jerks,Agent Orange, Blue Oyster Cult , Ozzy, Metalica, Motley Crue, Talk talk, Bryan Ferry, Lords of the new church, Bauhouse, Tones on tail, Frankie Ford,Reverand Horton Heat, Blasters,Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, Bethoven, Bach, Glen Miller, Reba, Brooks ............
I have a pretty wide taste in tunes just dont care for alot of todays rap some of the 80's stuff was ok but not my general taste... I like it all from the 20's till today just some more than others, and my kids are about the same wifes the only odd ball, (hates clasical) but thats cool 'cause when I'm in the mood for it I need to be left alone....
