Hello everyone, I've been a lurker for a while, and I had some extra time and couldn't sleep so I decided it was about time to introduce myself and get to know a few more of you on a more personal level.

My name is Jeff and i'm from Port Saint Lucie FL, 30 yrs old, and have loved anything with a motor on it since i was a little kid. I've worked on everything i've ever owned, and i'm a pretty good troubleshooter. I've also done some welding, fabricating, and bodywork. I've just about done it all on some level or another.

I have many projects, 2 VWs, 3 chevys, and various other toys. i tend to bounce from one to the other, as i lose and regain interest in them, but So far the VW's, volksrods in particular have grabbed my interest more than any other and i've been inspired to buy another bug and build a Volksrod.

This is my first bug, and it's pretty much gonna stay the way it is, just get a little lower, but it's a driver, not a daily driver but a driver none the less, I just drove it to the bugjam '06, and i've had it at a few other shows, runs and drives like a dream.

And more... i've got the pans off, and i'm getting ready to put new ones on, and clean up the rest of the pan, then i'm moving on to the body which will most likely get sectioned or channeled, i'm not too clear on the terms, but its so rusty on the bottom that i'm going to take some material out when i put the new heater channels on... i'll post pics of that as i go as well... oh yeah, that's an 8" extender, and an older roots style DLI with a 2.5" pully, (17psi boost) with too much carb on it, lol (we'll see) to go on an 1835 with CB044 heads... i can't wait to get the body work done so that i can get started on the engine...
