My name is Chad, I live in North Texas. Some of my hobbies include brewing beer, wine, camping, boating/wakeboarding, and cool cars which happen to include my 1969 Karmann Ghia Coupe. I have wanted one ever since I saw one on the interstate in Arlington,Texas. I found this one in August of 2007 on craigs list for a fair price. This is what it looked like when i got it......

I put a new clutch, brakes, tires, rebuilt the carb, replaced floor pans, bolted in seats, replaced all lights and the ignition.

My future plans include lowering and painting the car. I plan on flat black with a grey primer top maybe some old school flames and pinstriping. I think that would look hot. more pics to folow

Check out my cool find for speedometer hole

It came off of a VW Passat. I found it on the side of the road where an accident had just been cleared.
