Default Yooyenkoo's Projects
Re:: Hello Everyone

Hello, My name is William (Yooyenkoo)... I own 2 Volkswagens one of which is a red 1969 Volkswagen Squareback and the other which is a blue 1974 Manx Repilca.

Interests:

VWs, Anime, Computers, Video Games, Modding Consoles, and fixing cars.

Current Job: Subway... Soon hopefully Builders Supply

I'm currently in the process of repairing all the rust spots and holes that are on the body of my squareback. Once that is done the center and rear windows on the sides of the car will be tooken out (sold online most likely) and paneled in with some sheet metal. Once that is all done the car will be getting a nice new paint job (Flat black with red and white pinstrips). .. I'd like to put suicide doors on it but am not quite sure on how to go about doing that yet. If anyone could help me with those I'd really appreciate it.

Here is a current picture of my 69 Square:

Resized it a little bit so as to not make the forum all nasty looking.

And 2 videos of the engine after i rebuilt it. (it was originally a 1600cc motor, then i put straight cut gears and a bigger crank in it but left everything else stock). I'm the one in the Black and White jacket JSYAK.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=lqWWGb0Ea4U

1st video (Above) is when we put the motor on the engine stand and fired it up for the first time. (Note: we were using race fuel in that video which we were not informed of until the following week, Also if your wondering what exhaust is on it it's a type 1 beetle exhaust.)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=DPOUhxrALvw

2nd video (Above) is when we finally were using actual fuel and a type 3 exhaust. "For those who use power tools to tighten the gland nuts on your VW engines, make sure your power tool works 100% before tightening the nut on... The fly wheel we had on there started coming off inside the engine stand after the 2nd video stopped."

"74 Manx Replica (Unless I'm wrong)

My buggy is a Manx Replica with a 2 inch lift on it... It's almost done just need some more things and it will be road worthy...

Here is an old picture of the buggy which was taken about 2 years ago or so...

I'm going to take some more recent pictures of it tomorrow so everyone can see what I've done to it thus far...

William

xD Been quite a while sense i last posted on here... I've done some work on the square and it's starting to look better, there is quite a bit of rust on the car's lower half (both rockers need replaced, there are 2 holes in the front under the bonnet, and theres some rust under the rear fenders that i need to fix... other then that it's perfectly clean) I have some time tomorrow that i can go out and take some pictures of the progress I've made on it and also show everyone how bad the rust i need to fix
is.

I'm also looking to chop the front end off and put on a fiberglass tilt front end but not sure how much they cost and also where i can get one. If anyone knows please PM me and let me know (if possible in Omaha, NE)

Till tomorrow

EDIT:

Heres 3 pictures of some of the rust up front and in the heater channels...

Driver side heater channel (that'll need replaced for sure)

Driver side hole under the bonnet

Passenger side hole under the bonnet

Took a wire wheel to the passenger side door and found out that the door is a bondo factory O.o so I'm needing to get some new doors.

I'm getting another Square body in which I'm going to swap the bodies and turn my current red body into a drag car... It will be a lot of work and with what I'm planning... kinda hoping it will be successful without to many altercations.

Once i get the blue square (i think it's a 68 body) I'll post some pictures of it and update everyone of the progress of both Squares.

Time has come and gone, and I have sense sold the red Squareback and the Manx replica. I am now driving the blue Squareback in which I have decided on paneling, lowering, and replacing the front end with a fiberglass tilt front end which I have just recently bought a few months ago.

I'm currently trying to find a job due to moving to lincoln so the project(s) are on the back burner for now until i can find one.
