Default Return of Ratgutz
Re:: here we go....

Nice weather today so I got out the and started on the next Ratgutz. Now that the top is off, I'll cut 18" out of the center length-wise. I've got several days off this week, so if the weather holds out, I should get some more done.

I'm starting this new thread so I can get feedback, ideas, a swift kick in the ass, whatever.

First the concept, then the beginning of the build/destruction:

No offence to the previous incarnation, but 70's custom style was never one of my favorites (thought I did like the custom/vrod touches on your car). The new one lacks no originality. Kudos to that! Can't wait to see the progress pics!

Yea! Glad to see you stop selling everything and go back to building. I know you have to do what you have to do! But it will be good for you!

Hmmm..... Looks like I'll need to see if I can get you some sawz-all blades from work.

That's if you don't finish all the cutting by the time I see you on sunday.

By the way, it looks crappy.

What? You want me to lie to the guy?

I'm sure it will look better once the welding starts.

I hope.

Whatcha doing with that Oval clip there fishguts?

I definitely like the three wheeler project. I really liked the Bugwing up to the point he used the stock fenders, then it jsut started looking a little goofy.

The 70's custom "previous incarnation" was designed specifically to piss off Volksrod purists.

And I think it worked. Just wish I had it long enough to flare the fenders and paint lace panels on it. Oh, and I was also planning a fur interior. I even had my groovy 8-track all installed.

Money talks, the oval walks ...

I could possibly drag it down for you. Just to make sure I can go, I need to find a copilot or two to split fuel costs. I'll even provide the lodging for said copilots (pop-up) camper.

Sliced and diced some more today. Put some bridge welds on the doors to keep things somewhat stabilized. Tomorrow it gets 18" narrower.

Looks done to me.

It will have one door ... Kay didn't like crawling over the side of Ratgutz 1.

Sounds like a start to a plan. I can throw you a few bucks for gas.

Fishguts. Smaller is fine if it's easier on Tim to haul. I've got another complete roof in addition to the whole body so all I really need is the actual oval clip and vents. I know how attached you are to the moon roof anyway
