Here's The new Meyers KickOut SS. Got to spend about 20 minutes chatting with Bruce Meyers about it and the Regular Kickout on Friday. I played hookie Friday morning and went to Carlisle in the morning then went to work at 1:00

I had never seen one done that way before and I always thought it would look good. So I few years back I talked my dad (Walt) into helping me create it. He made the basic shape out of two peices of 1" round tubing and then skined in between them with some 16 gauge steel. He added a trick LED third brake light smoothed into the center back. The whole thing was then grinded smooth and chromed. The back trunk area is all formed with aluminum. My plan is to then paint all the aluminum to match the gel coat.

The project kinda halted at that point because we started working on the Flat 4rd after that.

Walt keeps trying to talk me into selling the project but I love it so much I dont think anyone would ever give me what I would want for it to let it go. Its a very special car and is one of the first 150 Manx's ever produced. It still has all the origanal yuma yellow gelcoat and the body has not been hacked in any way. Real Manxs are hard to find but once you drive one you will be hooked.

another view.

The wing and windshield height totally make that buggy. That one was at first sight long ago for me.

I miss having a buggy. I'll build another one eventually. It is on my short project list.

I've had four. Never got one on the road. Gave the first one away, second one got stolen after having it for 2 weeks, sold another because it was an eyesore, and I got a Kellison sand shark pick-em-up that's my next project (wife gave the go-ahead). Planning on a full "off-road" type of thing (sorta like the ones we've seen from "texas buggies".

Here's a pic of the next project...

By the way, a friend bought, then gave this to me to store his double cab on my property for a few months!! (maybe this should have been put in the "SCORE!!!" section a while back?)

Dude, I love the Bounty Hunter. So low and mean looking. Seems like it'd be a little useless offroad though.

The molds to that just popped up in Georgia I think it was a few months ago. There were two bodies still in the molds. someone was clearing out a warehouse that ended up being one of the companies Barris licensed to build and sell his buggys. There were a bunch more molds that the idiots had no idea what they were that went to the landfill. Unfortunately I think one of the parts to that mold was lost, but they do have the actual part needed a mold could be pulled from.

That bounty hunter and the first one in the first post do it for me. The low profile on both of those are wizard...keen even. What style is that first one?

Maybe I can convince my youngest to get a Manx instead of a bus.
