Glad you're ok Ksc, Storms all the way down to the panhandle of Fla and back to lower Texas. These spring systems can be just as nasty on the very tail end as they are up north. Hoping every one gets thru this.

Re: The "Today f*cking sucks club" thread
Funny you mentioned that metalm. You remember that caution light you got confused at? over near hanover 362 and you called me.. That place is gone!! It got hit really hard. It came close to my place but we are all good on my end. A lot of people were less fortunate and its sad seeing it on the news and knowing many of them and it being so close to home.

Re: The "Today f*cking sucks club" thread
this doesn't really suck as nothing happened out of it, but it got my adrenaline pumping and left me kinda dumbstruck..
Scene: getting my car washed, waiting for them to finish waxing it, sitting on a ledge leaning against a concrete post smoking a cigarette..
First guy walks buy (black kid looks late teens early twenties)
"Hey white boy give me a cigarette."
Me: what? *chuckle*
Him: give me a cigarette white boy.
I just stare at him and he starts walking off.
About 3 seconds later his buddy, walks up and says "yo white boy give me a cigarette"
me: no. (I would have at least THOUGHT about giving them one each if they had simply said, "hey man, can I have a smoke?" but calling me "white boy multiple times and then DEMANDING I give you one. fuck you.)
him: come on man, I know you got a pack.
me: yeah, but I only got a couple left (lie, but I don't think I should have to justify my saying no to a goddamn rude begger..)
him: you go around that corner there (motions to the corner of the building) I'm gonna fuck you up unless you give me a cigarette.
me: no man, i'm not giving you a smoke *nervous laugh*
him: I'm gonna fuck you up man.
me: I just stare, really I didn't know what to say at this point, half of me wanted to stand up and pull my knife, and spout some shit about being an Iraqi War Vet with PTSD and I would fucking kill him.. half of me knew better so I just sat there and stared
Him: you gettin your car washed?
me: yeah.
he turns and walks away, glaring over his shoulder at me every few steps.
REALLY? REALLY? are you fucking kidding me? what the fuck is wrong with people. thank god I don't have a concealed carry permit, I probably would have pulled it and told him to turn around and move the fuck away..

naw, they didn't work there, were just walking through.
and as for the sense of entitlement, I guess the epithet and just overall rudeness upset me more.. like I said, if they had left out "white boy" and said something like, "hook me up with a smoke" or "can i have a cigarette?" or anything even resembling of civil statement, i might have given em one..

I was at the Plaza car wash on Allesandro in MoVal..
haha yeah, I think what really kept me from doing anything is knowing that after I dealt with fines/jail time in the civilian world, I'd deal with reduction in paygrade/fines/jail time for the military too :P

Re: The "Today f*cking sucks club" thread
My e-mail has been hacked twice in the past few weeks. It's been sending out all that useless spam. Anyone know of a way of cleaning out the system to see where the crack or back door is that is causing the e-mail breach? I've changed my password a few times now.

I actually have washed my car a couple of times and been told once by my sheriff neighbor that he doesn't care, but technically, there's an ordinance against washing cars in driveways..
Also, my car wash bucket has been used as a parts cleaning bucket recently so there's a film of oil/grease in it..
I think it's bullshit that people accept this as "normal" I'm not supporting vigilantism, but at some point, the "good people" gotta start standing up and fight back, fuck this bullshit, if the "system" can't fix the community, maybe it's time the residents do?

I agree, I did have a good laugh about my own comments, so thanks for that. Yes, it's getting bad but, I've been seeing like this for 20+ years ... My eye were really open when I started have kids and settling down..

In save the world from itself California, I can understand the prohibitons on car washes purely from a conservation of drinking water standpoint. a few years ago, we had a series of rules passed while we were in a severe drought. Recycling car wash water makes sense, but I live two blocks from my water source. It's not going away anywhere, even in a drought.

I hear ya crack. I've got no water issues, but I still use rain barrels for watering the yard and I have used them for washing my car.
Be careful though, BO may seize them as necessary resources in the name of national peacetime preparedness.
