I know what car you're looking for, while reading over this I seen the article in my head but I'll be damned if I can find it. I want to say it was in the last 2 years. If no one comes up with it I will have to go out and search through the boxes of other books I have to see if it didn't get filed

Glad I could help you out Drew! I am pretty certain that he used a Type 1 beam on that, Type 3 beams are not easily narrowed... (I say it this way, because I don't want to say they can't be. If someone was stubborn enough they could probably figure out a way...)

now that u know the date of the issue you can got to the hot VWs web site print off an order form and they will send it to you if no one here has one. It is the most prehistoric web site i have ever seen that is why you have to print and use snail mail to get it.

IIRC, it is a Type 1 beam. I wanted those torque thrust wheels for Sophy, but the offset is WAY wrong for a Type 3. I ended up with American Racing Aero wheels. They are for front drive cars and have much better offsets for a Type 3.

Hot VWs, March 2005 issue, pg 66-70. It's not on the cover but there is a 4 pg feature on it. I have it right here and can mail it out tomorrow.

Lots of good detail pictures at this site that ACE of Shades posted. Check em' out!

http://www.tunedperfection.com/node/32

Also mentioned was that it was in the Ultra VW issue from the same month and year. I'll check to see if I have an extra of it.
