Re: Newest addition to the Family
Can't help it Barny just reminds me so much of my cars #3 & 4. 61' ragtop roof, blew the motor then wrecked it. #4 was a 62' ragtop roof w/o motor, just slapped the motor in from #3 and off I went.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
well, went to my second cruise in with the buddy's 66 grape ape and we actually had folks checking out the rides. i changed from the bomber seats to some newer honda seats and they fit nice. also built a new shifter for the "rat rod" look. I'll post pics in the am.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
I swapped Ryan for his Honda seats, but I'm having trouble getting the 63 seat frames to fit his 69 floor pans, are they different from the 69 frame tracks and rails? I don't know.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
Yeah you can have them if you want them. If you like them, take the one with you and I can bring the other one next time, or you can come get it in G'ville. I'm sure Bugdust would appreciate it if I didn't bring anymore stuff. They're nice seats just not the right style for the RPU.

They are not on VW tracks though. Still on original Neon tracks (slide good) and were welded to some 1" sq. tubing.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
Hey Dick....you can put your wallet back in your pocket. Come help us for a few hours to pull that cab off and they are yours for free. Bad news is Bugdust has to take his kids to Monter Trucks this weekend. I'm gonna drive up late afternoon Friday, gotta make some plans with Bugdust for the rest.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
I put Chrysler mini van front seats in my VW truck. Electic, leather seats and they bolt to the floor with 4 bolts. I wish that they were a couple inches shorter, but I like them. Passenger side also has storage under the seat. Pops

Re: Newest addition to the Family
Well, Barney is now blown apart getting all new rubber, a satin clear coat, pop out rear windows, new speedmaster rims and I'm hoping to be done in time for a couple of shows that come up in April 9th & 10th.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
went and did some more work on Barney today, or I should say I went and checked on Barney, (or his new name "DirtDawber") today. He's being given a coat of clear over his beat up exterior and we are putting the "NEW" interior in. New glass, rubbers and carpets. New ragtop, which is now Bright red thanks to SIMS Vinyl paint. That stuff is GREAT!! I am really pleased with the quality and ease of application. It will really make the ol Hood Ride look sweet.

Re: Newest addition to the Family
I remember this car, I believe you bought it just a little south of Macon. I tried to buy it but he wouldn't come down to my budget. I found mine in Tifton for much less but not in the shape yours is in. Nice find and ride, the rag top is what I really wanted.
