The only problem that I see is that the glove box is on the wrong side in the last picture...

Damn dude, you are going hard core! Now comes the fun part, putting it back together and making it look like a bug again (but with a different shape!)

Dan, believe me, whoever chopped the car in the first place didn't do a great job on it. Looks good but alot of shortcuts that needs to be fixed. I figured it would be easier to fix if the body's upsidedown JK, I have plans for it......

I could fiberglass it back together anyways if I mess up If you guys really want to know, the body is going to be slant sectioned. About 5" chopped at front and 3" chopped at back. Along with other mods here and there. I'm actually behind schedule was supposed to be cutted 1.5 months ago and trying to get it done (the body work) by the Aug 31st BugOut.

With the "why not use another bug" reason, I'd loose $$ that way. I won't get much for a non-running project and maybe get as much as a decent bug body that's not chopped. And most likely the new bug would have things that would need to be replaced from rust + would need to be chopped. So overall I'd loose $$ and alot of time if I started off with another bug.

Don't fibeglass it back together That is about one of the most dangerous ideas I have heard ever. If you get into a wreck with car galssed back together it will completely comeapart and you will very likely be killed. Some people I wouldn't miss but you are our pic guy what would we do without you.
Thats just one serious hack job!

Seriously I think you can get it back together its the weld seams in the door that would concern me the most I would try and take only from the bottom that way you body work has a place to end. Good luck and keep us posted.

That reminds me of a warplane art book I saw, picts of paintings on WW2 or earlier airplanes like COOP stuff. My fav was one had it written big "Captain Gonads and His Unfeastible Testicles" on a nose of a WW2 bomber. And had a cartoon drawing of a guy with his huge testes on a wheel barrel in front of him

wow, I mean WOW DAMN! :o that will be an amazing accomplisment when , not if, you get it back together, that not only takes big freaky brass balls, but alot of vision, that's not only out of the box, but it just left the warehouse that the box was kept in! keep going man, and I may have no reason to piss and moan about how "all" the cars at shows look the same. GREAT GOD that's soooooo COOL, i dunno if that's expressive enough, but it's sooo cool, makes the ideas that I have been having about 92ish caddilac tails cut 3/4 length with 50 buick tails underneath and corvete bumpers on the back of my bug bucket look TAME and , WOW, that's just too cool.. yeah way cool......

keep it up
