For some reason I've only customized VW's, never restored. I built a stretch Beetle limo that you can see at www.vwlimo.com and am mid way through a 1302 German Look Super.
So after wondering about chop tops for no reason at all and aquiring a Baja Beetle, I set out to see what I could do. Here are a couple of pics of the roof chop. Hopefully I'll get the car completed by the end of June.
I dove in deep on the project and even for got to pay the bills, I was so wrapped in it. I was trying to get it finished before the local show last weekend, but broke the windshield while installing it just before midnight, on show eve. There was definitely some fatigue and home brew involved in that whoops. So I've been taking it slow and had to start on some window replacement home improvement to keep the wife happy. Here are more pics of where it's at.
