Re:: can anyone give me layman's terms for the difference?

Here's the engine:

DP case clearanced, drilled for full flow, etc
DPR 69mm CW, dowelled crank
stock rods, balanced
AA 90.5 P&Cs
lightened flywheel
dual 40mm IDFs
Engle lifters
chromoly pushrods
40x35.5 heads

I HAD an Engle W110 but I need to replace it because the lifters have to be replaced..

I'm debating between another W110 and a W120. can someone tell me what the difference will be while driving?

I've tried understanding the numbers of duration and lift and whatnot, and I just can't wrap my head around it. will the 120 be torquer, or have less top end or what?

I need idiot speak :P

Usually, the larger the duration, the further up you move the rpm range. But then you start to run into the limitations, if any, of the valve train, and/or rotating assembly. But if you have the dual valve springs, forged rockers/shafts, balanced crank, con-rods, pistons, you can increase the rpm of the motor to pretty scary levels, where you cringe, because you're expecting the motor to explode. That's when engines get exciting!!

The 120 isn't that crazy, some argue for dual springs, and some say single HD springs are fine. It's a fun cam, as far as what I've read, if you throw some 1.25, or 1.4 rockers in the mix.
