press out the link pin bushings which will expose the king pin, press that out swap spindles then reverse the process to put it all together!
Or, you might have to take them to a vw shop to have them done!

Much easier at a shop. You can press them out if you have a press, but reaming the new bushings out is a bitch unless you have the right tools.

And if those are CIP1 spindles you may need to ream them as well. Mine were cut well under a stock KP

Directions in there to raise and lower..
With an adjustable and drop spindles, you can get very low.

From the photo it looks like you top adjuster is set for being lowered and your bottom adjuster has the beam raised. They are fighting eat other.
Back the lower adjustment screw out so the that the aluminum block is touching the nut that is welded to the adjuster.

i just tryed that even with the car jacked up. Also with it on the ground. but did not move down or go any lower

i guess the aftermarket beam will get it slammed witch gives the 5.5 drop

Have you tried adjusting them all the way down and then bouncing the front end to get the pieces to "settle" in to place?

the block is down lower inside the bracket as it should be.. i just dont think the front end got any lower.. it might be at the lowest piont i can get with the adjusters and drop spindle

are you running an extension? When I went adjusters and drop spindles, My front beam was 6" off the ground at its lowest, now I am running 19" rims and tires off a toureg so they are very meaty and probably add at least 4" but my frame head is definitely lower, which is the built in angle of dougs extension.

I guess what I am pointing out is where are you measuring your height?
what size tires you running?
is that a home built extension?
what are some of the other factors?

they are not home made. it is some old school adjusters that im sure where put on the cars year and years ago ! even the paint job and body work is olskool >> they filled in all the body molding trim holes.

my tires are pretty tall it is on the stock rims
tires front 165/15/86T

i think a smaller side wall tire will def help the drop

thkx VRs !!
