Where is the fuel tank and battery going to be located? I made a stand and put mine behind the cab over the nose of the transaxle. Room for a 10" X 10" X 32" fuel tank and battery. I have a flat bed so have the room. Pop

Fuel tank will be in the trunk. Battery is going in the stock location.

Quick update before I head to work. Mock up bed floor is in and the tailgate latches are on.





The bed floor hinges for access to the battery, clutch cable etc...

it would be an easy fab with some bar stock bent 90 deg. some pipe slightly larger than said stock and a spring or two! Also looks like part of a house door hinge...

Had an amazing day towed the Volksrod to a VW show and breakfast this morning and even not finished it was breaking necks right and left. Then towed it home and started the bodywork with my buddy Kris Stidd. Thanks for all your help and tips Kris it was greatly appreciated.

Well the roof is pretty much wrapped up just needs priming and more blocking. Lots of dents pounded out and the trim holes are filled.

Fab work on Ur truck - would love to photograph it when it's done but I have a vibe that it's gonna be one of the most photographed VW creations to come down the bahn in many a moon - Kudos on being a great artist and building a brilliant ride ~:0) VivaChas!
