This is what I usually look for.

I know Wolfsburg West's floorpans are advertized as 18ga but I seem to recall people recieving pans in the past that weren't that thick when measured.

The grey ones from Wolfsburg West are a newer stamping than the older orange ones. I have seen them in person and they are heavier than the old ones but the stamping is not 100% accurate to the originals. They are good for the price.

Gerson (Klassic Fab) also makes beetle floorpans now for the early cars...not sure what years they cover though.

I've put in a couple sets of orange WoldsburgWest ones and was very happy with them. I have also put in the cheap black Klokkerheim ones and they work fine too. They are thinner than originals. Protect them with Masterseries or something similar for best protection.

Cool thanks, I will check them out. and I am not worried if it is original looking (good to know tho) just strong and halfway fit. I am either going to go with the grey ones from Wolfsburg West or just do as Purplemyth suggested in another thread and weld in 1/8 Steel plate! One, I LOVES ME SOME OVERKILL when I build anything and Two, I was going to cut the seat rails and move them anyway. I am not putting the back seat back in (Sorry ladies) and I am moving the front seats back about 10 inches from stock. I am 6'5" most of it is legs! Thanks again!
