Well the good news is no one can reply, so it limits the abuse.
I live in BC Canada, have had 3 bugs over my years, raced 2 of them, and thought I was done until some cruel co-worker showed me a volksrod on the internet. Now I'm gathering tools and hunting for a car to begin the work.
The good news is once I get going I'll have reasonable access to decent parts since I work for a large scrap recycler.
The bad news is that so far people here seem to think they're bug with the crunched front end they want to sell for parts is still worth $1000
Initial plan will be extend the front beam, remove fenders and work on a motor. Chopping it is on the table but undecided until I get into the project.
