tires for wires

I want modern tires on the old wire wheels
I cannot afford the cool coker tires.I do not care about the authentic vintage look.
I need to buy tires from discount tire or wallmart
what modern tires will fit these wheels?
155 70R16
165 65R16
will a modern tire even fit at all?
will they seat on the bead?Attachment 32849

Those 16x4 wheels should take a radial but you will most likely need to run a tube. If you want a radial, the sizes you mentioned should work. A 175R16 will fit as well.
On a side note, your a coalition member, we still offer members discounts here so I may be able to save you a few bucks!

Any tire the right daim and width will physically seat on the old wire wheels. The old wheels do not have the safety bead, and being spokes will need a tube for air leaks.

For a taller tire not being a Coker, you might look into truck or trailer tires. Stick with bias ply for the tall skinny look you are after.

I'm looking to run street bike rear tires on those.Dirt bike rears possibly down/off the road... I saw a video of fokes grinding the black off white letter tires to get wide white for cheap, cheap!
