O/T Video Games
Re:: didn't see a thread for this..
Figured we've got our Craigslist, and Samba, and New Shit, and lighter side threads, along with many more, but nothing about video games..
Just got Portal 2 on Steam for $7, waiting for it to download..
Also contemplating buying Diablo III even though I know I won't play it very often, but I played the beta and it was pretty good..
Otherwise, I'm normally a "Nintendo kid", as in NES not just Mario fanboy.. I only had an NES until 1997 when I got a Playstation for graduation.
Spent MANY a day playing Quake 2, StarCraft, and the original Fall Out games..
What does everyone else play? anyone else prefer the older games to the new? I'm not a huge fan of "realistic" shooters.. I want to grab a shit ton of ammo, run into a room, blow up a bunch of shit and then immediately respawn and repeat :P
ooh and there's a kickstarter project open, they're trying to bring back Carmageddon! how awesome would that be?!
anyway.. topic is open, discuss.. or if it's too far off topic, delete :)

Fallout 3 I thought was a good game from a game perspective, but as a die-hard FO fan, I hated it because I was used to the Interplay/Black Isle Fallout games with the tongue in cheek humor and easter eggs..
Never played red dead redemption, Hitman was good cause I liked the stealth aspect, Thief 1 and 2 wered good to me :) and who doesn't like randomly killing people in the GTA world, although I haven't played past San Andreas and in fact didn't make it far in SA because life got in the way..
Loving Portal 2 so far though, the dry humor and quick quips make me laugh..

Re: O/T Video Games
I've gone the other way and now spend a lot of my time playing Parallel Kingdom on my phone. It seems like a very basic game but becomes quite addictive.
If anybody is wanting to tru it, let me know. I'll give you a code that gives you bonuses when you join up.

Over 300 movie referances, "The republic of Dave", and if you go stelth and listen to what a couple super mutants have to say... you might pee alittle. They kept alot of the humor, referances, and easter eggs around.
Give this a look Pariah.
http://planetfallout.gamespy.com/wik..._3_Easter_Eggs you will laugh just reading about them, finding them yourself though....
