Using a bus shifter - Cut-Weld-Drive Forums

Saw a bug that had a bus shifter, asked the guy if it just bolted up, he says ya. so I get one and it don"t work. My car is 65 and shifter is pre 67. Anyone seen or done this.

Yes, I have a bus Hurst (clone) in a 67. It will work but, you have to build about a 1" spacer to get it up a little higher.

I have an early bus shifter in mine with a quick shift kit. Bolted right in but I did have to heat and bend it a little toward the passenger side so it wouldn't hit the steering wheel when it is in reverse.
