a lot of people never got their packages, that's why it stopped.. people were getting things and not sending anything.. was a really great idea but as with all great ideas, a handful of idiots can screw it all up.

That really sucks.... I'd love to do some tradeing... Thanx to the idiots that screwed it up. I am also sure the amount of posts "have 4 fenders I don't need anymore" was not responded to very much. If that ever starts again, I would love to join that hoohaw as package costs are about all I can afford.

Doc it was called the cheap and stupid stuff thread.
It was misc stuff, stuffed into a box, forwarded to some one under you in a list. That person then sent stuff to another person.
It was funny watching stuff being posted until~
It just went to hell cuz yes, some got but didn't give
The only rule that should been added was 'whatever fits in a $5 box from the po. So many used the excuse 'soon as I get some extra $ to ship~'
I think the remaining few that had given were 'given to' by other good natured folks here just to finish it out. But there were a few that didn't get to get in the game.
Still happens now and then, proof being the surprise boxes Jkien65 and I got from some clowns at an east coast meet

Unfortunately things got out of hand, as it does any time members don't closely police what other members are doing... At least that's my understanding of it. The GNF days were well before my time.
That said, I've always wanted to build a tribute car for it.
