Have a fuel tank venting question… jumped all over the internet and they talk about an expansion tank or vent tank and run hoses to the rear fender or to the fan housing on the motor. (That was an interesting one to read). What have you guys done with this, I was planning of running the hose to the under carriage and let it vent… Ideas
well, lets assume you are not just a daily driver and possably someone who likes to romp on the gas, or take that corner just alittle faster then you should.... change the idea of "vent" to "splash" and you will now want to make sure the hose connects back to the tank. I have played with the vent idea befor, and its all good until you start feeding the pavement some petrol.

As an alternative vent, check out a marine vent valve... it allows the fuel tank to equalize pressure, but has a check valve that prevents fuel spillage.
My boat has one for each tank. They let me fill the tanks without constantly having to stop and "burp 'em", but don't allow fuel to spill overboard.
both are good points, I read someplace about an after market check valve. have it looped back in the tank.... like what the oil breather tank does for the engine.....
