Hi, I'm Jill. I have a '69 with a 1600 dp (from a 71 I assume, haven't checked the code that hard). Got her in Kansas a year ago and just started on it. All side glass is out, engine was pulled on Saturday. Didn't come with carbs, I'm looking at the Weber 34ICT kit, if anyone has a recommendation, I'm all ears!

Plan is a stretched, chopped Volks. Betty is my first ever project so I'm over eager to get her started.
Sorry for the horrible Instagram picture, but my chop is done! Took a friend and my husband 11.5 hours. Friend is the welder, husband did all the cutting and fitting. First time he's done anything like this. Not the prettiest thing, but that's what I'm going for. Next we'll remove the body, strip to the metal and start on the extension.
