Default Body Drop Questions

Howdy all!
Looking for insight on a new project I'm about to start with a 71 bug. (Turning it into a RPU) I've been searching this site and some others on Body drops and have a few questions for anyone that's done it. I'm looking at leaving the suspension alone aside from dropped spindles but I want to drop the body around the Pan 3". My thought is I could cut around the inside of the heater channel then make a cut on the outside perimeter under the body panels essentially removing the body from the heater channels like you would if you were replacing them. The door area I will cut a 3" notch on the inside leaving the exterior panel alone and removing 3" from the napoleon hat area. The 3" will get up into the lower door hinge so the doors will be welded shut on the lower half and open on the top halve (with one hinge) The back isn't much of an issue since its an RPU. Ill also have to raise the steering wheel into the dash. For the seats I'll be cutting as much out of the frame as I can and still retain the sliders. Since Ill be leaving the Heater channels in place I can then weld them
back to the body only 3" higher. Ill also be adding 3 steel cross members under the pan for strength and along the back.
So my question is - am I missing anything important?
Thank you in advance for any insight!

Here is the way I dropped mine. I recon it was about 9" at the rear and 4 or so at the front
