Default beam extenders

So, the project I just picked up has a less than stellar home grown extender. Two pieces of c channel sandwich a couple pieces of square tube. Standard bolts. Just a tad scary.

Anyway, I'm not having any luck finding new ones for sale. Is anybody still making them, or are we building them ourselves now?

I think D-Bug is still doing them.

If not, there is another guy, Fab104 or something.

I was talking to him not so long back, when I wanted to order some items from him and his new full time job keeps him flat out so he had to give up the "thevolksrodshop".

His ads are still out there however, online he has gone.

I think I got one of tinbeaters last few 10"ers back in 2007..

I still got it installed (with some support from a DBUG framehead brace), both guys made some seriously good products..

Yesterday was the first time I've been on here in years. Though I should be here more in the future. I've decided to finally finish my car and get back to enjoying life.

awesome to see you back!

and now that you are back.. i'm actually curious... I got my 10" extension around summer of 2007.. is that when you stopped making them?

It was ordered and delivered to Rob (hotrodheb) because he had my car while i was out of country..

Thanks! It's been too long. I stopped taking orders at the end of '09 but it took a few months to get the last batch done as I tore my rotator cuff and had to finish them hobbled because the Dr. said I wouldn't be able to work after the surgery for 6 months. Turned out I was good the day after surgery. DUH!!!

Did you ever finish your car?

LOL, did I ever finish? the board says cut weld drive, nowhere in there does it say finish...

it will probably never truly be "finished" but this was it at a car show last year..

To paraphrase a phrase, 'it's the journey, not so much the destination' which applies to most of us....

I'm having a blast with mine, and all I'm doing is trying to decide on wheels, tires, lights, gauges...
