Default too dumb to live

Hi everyone! been away for awhile . trying to put my buggy back together , apart for a couple years. Cannot remember , does the turn signal switch just slide or tap onto the column?? All wired up and no switch to go. looks like a wooden block and slight pounding might do it. wanted to ask first before I destroy somethin.

Thanks in advance!

Patience Grass Hopper. It takes time for everyone to see your question....and not everyone will know the answer.

Mine is a 63 body, 68 pan. That's how mine is. But I'm still figuring out what's 63 and what's 68. My first real project since the 80s

Early ones have a screw that presses them tight to the column as previously stated. Never messed with late ones.

Mine is a 79 and it slides over the column and has screw that keeps it in place. Haven't seen it done any other way

Yes, MKParker has it - small screw to set it in place - although I am surprised that the picture he provided doesn't show the more desirable green one

Hey thanks to ALL! I received my new switch and fingered it out! Looked like it slid on and off...but wasnt sure. I put in place and plopped the column down on a block of wood and presto! She slid right in place...stops in the housing stop it at the correct depth. Thanks again guys...!!! Kev.
