Default 915 clutch lever subsitution

Kinda pissed guys. I have a Porsche 915 transmission but it's missing this part
http://www.rmeuropean.com/Products/9...00-MFG100.aspx

Now I don't have $300 to spend on this so I'm wondering if any of you know how I could find something that has a matching diameter/ spline count. I can fabricate the rest.

Hey Kim, I'm not sure. I'll have to go crawl under the chaos I have going out there and find out. If I can get the count and right size, I could see if I could find someone to waterjet one out for me. I was hoping I could find something that would match so I could fab something up myself.

By blowing up the photo on my laptop, it looks like 24 to 26 splines...how's that for precision? The shift lever onmy '05 Triumph Tiger attaches to a splined male shaft. From a quick look a few minutes ago I'd guess it to be about 12 mm. But there are others out there.

Here are the differences. In the bottom right of each pic are the splines. The longer splines are 1972-76, the shorter ones are 77-86. If they are the same diameter and splines, I can use the older arm which can be about half the price.

Right about 21mm diameter. Couldn't count the splines, it's hard to get at. (Ignore the welds, they're just tacks until I get everything right.)

I just found a place that has them for $75. I'm on that first thing in the morning!
