This months Crazy Bastard of the Month is no stranger to building nice volksrods,
as shown by his two previous bugs...
![]() ![]() Mark (Markh) is located in Vancouver, WA and loves cutting up VW's. The coupe that he
is building started out as a primered but running and driving 1960 bug but is quickly
becoming Mark's version of a Stoll coupe. The donor roof section on this car came from
a 1940 Buick Super Coupe that was narrowed a full 12 inches to fit onto the bug body.
Mark started to keep the slanted B pillars, but ended up going with the straight pillars.
Once attached, the roof was then chopped 4" at the windshield, 3-1/2" at the B pillar
and 2" in the rear. The Buick rear window was replaced with an oval window section
and the rear decklid has been a combination of the '60 decklid and a '68 front hood.
Mark's coupe project is moving along at a quick pace and we can't wait to see how it turns out!
