Crazy Bastard of the Month!
A Volksrods.com salute to those doing the unthinkable
with their own blood, sweat, tears, and own two hands...

By popular vote, May's Crazy Bastard
of the Month goes to Mark (markh), hailing
 from Vancouver, WA!

This months Crazy Bastard of the Month is no stranger to building nice volksrods,
as shown by his two previous bugs...

Mark (Markh) is located in Vancouver, WA and loves cutting up VW's. The coupe that he
is building started out as a primered but running and driving 1960 bug but is quickly
becoming Mark's version of a Stoll coupe. The donor roof section on this car came from
a 1940 Buick Super Coupe that was narrowed a full 12 inches to fit onto the bug body.
Mark started to keep the slanted B pillars, but ended up going with the straight pillars.
Once attached, the roof was then chopped 4" at the windshield, 3-1/2" at the B pillar
and 2" in the rear. The Buick rear window was replaced with an oval window section
and the rear decklid has been a combination of the '60 decklid and a '68 front hood.
Mark's coupe project is moving along at a quick pace and we can't wait to see how it turns out!
