As with any project... it's the anticipation of how it's received once it hits the road
and the shows that adds to the excitement of finishing your goal. The guys set forth
to turn heads at Billetproof... and they did exactly that. Thumbs up and smiles from the
crowd as the Rat Patrol rumbled into the show. Well... from "most" of the crowd anyways...
KIRK!, the promotor of Billetproof, was a great sport about everything and invited the
group to participate despite the aftermath of ridicule he was possibly going to recieve.
Again, we thank him for the invite and hope to participate again.
A few of the seemingly new-to-the-scene-self-proclaimed "traditional" hot rodders in
attendence seemed to have their panties in a bunch over the fact that a "measly VW"
was tainting "their" show. Of course, this wasn't voiced at the show that day to the
builders... just several days later to whoever else would listen...
But, apparently their girlfriends felt differently... Sorry guys... but when you let 'em
out of your site at the show, this is where they were...
Oh yeah... and your little dog too...
